So, this week was pretty crazy as every week is for every missionary I would assume. One thing I have recently learned is that everything is a little harder to do as a missionary. I don’t know why but other people can often times be very difficult to work with. Often we travel for an hour to an appointment that the person gave us a fake address to, or tell us a time when they know that they won’t be home. But at the same time, every time that things get difficult or we have to work with people that don’t want to work with us, the Lord is really just testing us to see how bad we want to help others or do his work. Because through all the crap we face there is often miracles that come because of enduring to the end. I have seen that very often lately. Either you find someone you would not have found or caught a train that you wouldn’t have caught or were just able to help someone when no one else would have been there to help them. This week had a really crazy day, and I will emphasize on it because there were so many miracles that at the time I really viewed as annoying pointless trials that I had to overcome. So it started with going to look up a referral that we received through online campaigns. I had put my legs up on the seat opposite to me, allowing my phone to fall from my pocket! If you lose your phone you are pretty much done, everything is on that phone and it is our only form of communication to anyone. So I was freaking out, but we did the look up and set an appointment with the person which was cool. Then we tried to find the phone and couldn’t we asked a bunch of tram drivers if they has seem it and prayed a lot. Unfortunately we weren’t able to find it. Earlier, a sister had asked me to fix her bike so we went to go do that. While there, I felt as though I should call our phone. So I did and through a very large miracle some kind soul had picked up our phone and brought it to the tram driver! He answered the phone and we were able to find a place and time where we could meet him and get our phone back! It was such a blessing especially because even things that are locked up get stolen never mind things sitting in the open with no owner around. From there we had to rush to go to an appointment with an investigator. In that lesson he was struggling to understand the concept of trials and why we go through them and I was able to use the story from literally minutes earlier, it helped him understand what we were trying to teach…….. Where he actually had a super cool spiritual moment!! It was so awesome! Then (this part is not spiritual or like cool it was just funny) We were biking back to fix the sisters bike again, when my companion said his leg was really hurting. We were already biking pretty slow so I said “I’m just going to pull you” Which did not sit well with him. So, I grabbed his handle bars to pull him and he turned into me or something and he somehow ditched his bike which made his bike fly into mine and it jammed up my back wheel and I flipped into the highway!! luckily, I was pretty unscathed except not so much for my bike. My companion was also okay just some dirt on his shirt. I now have learned just to be okay with going slow haha. Also conveniently the mission released a new rule saying we all have to wear helmets which sucks because everyone gets mocked here who wear helmets, so it will be intersting. But it was overall a really good week with a lot of really cool experiences!
